In addition to supporting key projects within the TI’s Office of Experiential Learning, Jessica works closely with academic units and the Program Innovation Hub to inform the development of work-integrated learning (WIL) activities in new programs across campus.
Jessica has worked with students on the partner side of WIL and brings a valuable perspective to this work at UCalgary, along with a range of skills in partnership development, facilitation within complex organizations, strategic planning and team management.
Biography
Jessica is a UCalgary alumna with a BA in Political Science and an MSc in Global Development Challenges from the University of Edinburgh. She has collaborated with Leadership and Student Engagement, Knowledge Engagement and with the Haskayne School of Business on other initiatives linking campus and community. Before joining the Taylor Institute, Jessica was deeply involved with United Way of Calgary and Area campaigns and strategic projects with public sector organizations in the region, including at the University of Calgary. She served as a community partner on the Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement Advisory Committee in 2020-21 as we explored and documented community engagement activities and practices at our institution.
