UCalgary medical sciences subject area ranks No. 43 globally

The Round University Ranking (RUR) Agency released its annual University Rankings 2019 this month. UCalgary ranked number 127 globally, and number 6 nationally.

UCalgary had a strong performance in several subject areas including medical sciences, where it ranked number 43 globally. Other top subject areas include life sciences (number 194) and technical sciences (number 196), which also cracked the Top 200 internationally. UCalgary demonstrated particularly strong performance in the international diversity, financial stability and research categories for almost all subjects.

The RUR ranking measures the performance of 850 leading world universities from 80 countries on 20 unique indicators grouped within four key areas: teaching, research, international diversity, and financial sustainability.
