Tim Stapleton visits Ghana

Tim Stapleton recently visited Accra, Ghana to conduct archival research for his SSHRC funded project on military culture in British colonial West Africa. He is pictured here visiting Cape Coast Castle—built by the Swedes in the 1650s and used as a center for the Trans-Atlantic slave trade and later as a British colonial administrative headquarters.
