Biography

Elyse Bouvier is a creative communications specialist and documentary photographer working in the Taylor Institute as a communications specialist. She has a diverse background in communications, graphic design, writing and photography and has helped non-profits and small businesses such as Springboard Performance, Calgary Folk Music Festival, Resolve Photo and Phil & Sebastian Coffee Roasters build their voice and branding.

Her own photography practice explores the identities of communities, especially in rural Alberta, and the relationships between memory and place, with a particular fascination with how food intersects with cultural identities. She has presented her research and photographs in Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, and the UK.
