A teaching philosophy communicates your fundamental beliefs about teaching and learning, why you hold them, and how you translate them (or anticipate doing this) into your teaching practice within the context of your particular discipline. This workshop offers you an opportunity to reflect on and articulate your beliefs and where they come from, and to consider examples of how they play out in your teaching and learning experience.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Produce a first draft of your teaching philosophy statement
- Develop an action plan for its completion
