Take wellness to a whole new level in this part-day workshop funded by the “Campus Mental Health Strategy.” BrainsmoothiesTM are based on the premise that the mind needs nourishing inputs in order to function optimally, and these include an infusion of revitalizing activities that provide relief from the time-bound to-do lists of academic life. Created by Dr. Brittany Harker Martin, these activities draw from cognitive science, psychology, and arts education. The day’s sessions are designed to leave you with a toolkit of techniques for your own wellness, and some to share with your students as well. Come learn how you can use arts-based approaches to reduce stress and restore a more balanced state of mind. Brunch and lunch are provided, supplies are included, and there are amazing door prizes! Come treat yourself to a relaxing day of wellness.
The day ends with a short, optional feedback session where participants will receive a $50.00 gift card to purchase their own Brainsmoothie supplies.
