Conference Proceedings and Conference Papers

Delegates are invited to submit documents related to their presentations to PRISM and/or to submit a paper for publication in the peer-reviewed Papers on Postsecondary Learning and Teaching (PPLT). Before submitting your document(s), please read the guidelines.

Papers on Postsecondary Learning and Teaching (PPLT)

Papers on Postsecondary Learning and Teaching (PPLT) is a peer-reviewed and open access publication of papers from the University of Calgary Conference on Postsecondary Learning and Teaching.

Call for papers opens: June 1, 2023
Deadline for submissions: August 1, 2023

All presenters at the University of Calgary Conference on Postsecondary Learning and Teaching are encouraged to submit a paper, linked to the conference theme and threads, developing and expanding upon their conference presentations for publication in PPLT.

PPLT has been published since 2016. PPLT provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. This publication is indexed in Google Scholar, ERIC, and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) with more indexes pending. Authors are permitted to self-archive in their institutional repository, eg. PRISM, and other sites.

PRISM

PRISM is the University of Calgary’s Digital Repository. It is maintained by Libraries and Cultural Resources to manage, preserve and make available the academic works of faculty, students and research groups. Learn more.

All conference delegates are encouraged to submit documents related to their presentations to PRISM. Documents can include a PowerPoint presentation (PPT), oral recordings, posters, session handouts and other artefacts. Participants are encouraged to submit to PRISM before the conference or anytime following. A DOI (digital object identifier) is issued and you can provide this to conference delegates and others following the conference.

Proceedings deposited in PRISM are indexed in Google, Google Scholar, University of Calgary libraries and more, increasing the reach of your academic work worldwide. Your work will be preserved over time with the University of Calgary and you will get a permanent URL for each item. You will also be able to access views, downloads and other metrics to understand how your work being used.
